Meals

GOOD NEWS:

Meals will be provided 3x/day;  We will ask for a minimal voluntary contribution, $10-15 per day,  for food. However, no one will be turned away for inability to pay.  We understand that just getting there for some will be a financial hardship.

Meals are from Saturday evening, April 15 (dinner) to Saturday morning, April 22 (breakfast)
All meals offered will be vegetarian and vegan options only.

Our plan is to serve all meals at Camp Justice, our group campsite at Oliver Lee Memorial State ParkHowever, if planned attendance surpasses the capacity of our group campsite, stay tuned:  We WILL have alternatives.

MEALS AT CAMP JUSTICE:
This will be a community effort, with everyone participating in food preparation, cooking, and/or clean-up. Alternative options to help will also be available.  Please come prepared to contribute. If you have special dietary needs, please list those on the registration form to help us best meet everyone's needs.  Everyone will be asked to participate in tasks that help our peace community thrive during the week. Each person can choose tasks that they feel most comfortable helping with, such as meal planning, food prep, clean-up, garbage management, banner & sign making, peace keeping and much more.

If you have favorite snack items or other foods, you may want to consider bringing some of these.   Please note:  Due to hungry little desert mice and other small creatures, personal food needs to be stored in protective containers.  We hope to have large shared containers to offer, or you can bring your own.

Meal Costs:  We will request a minimum donation (TBD) per day to contribute to food expenses.  (No one will be turned away for lack of funds.)  Additional contributions are welcome to help support those who are unable.

IMPORTANT:  Alamogordo, the closest town, midway between Holloman AFB and Camp Justice (about 10-12 miles between each).  For individual shopping needs, please consider shopping on your way to/from Holloman AFB to decrease our overall carbon footprint.  We are guests of the Southern New Mexico Chihuahuan desert.
