Coming to SHUT DOWN DRONE WARFARE (SDDW)
Spring 2025?

Please register today:  REGISTRATION HERE.
This helps the SDDW Organizing Team better able to plan and serve everyone.  We welcome people to travel to Alamogordo/El Paso via plane, train/bus, or car, and encourage carpooling/ride shares whenever possible.

MEALS:
Most meals during the week will be provided by the SDDW Team.  All meals provided will offer only vegetarian and vegan options.  Due to the logistics complexities of coordinating this type of event, breakfasts and lunches will be very simple and nutritious, with heartier evening meals most nights.  There are a few group meals during the week that will be ordered in local Alamogordo restaurants, plus Friday Night Pizza night.
(Refer to Schedule Here)

We ask for a $10 contribution/day per person for meals, and that each person pay for their own meals when at restaurants.  If this is a hardship for anyone, there will be funds available to help pay for meals, as needed.  Participants will also have opportunities to get some of their meals in town on their own, if they choose to.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE:

We are offering limited transportation assistance.

WE ARE GUARANTEEEING rides for everyone flying/busing/training to El Paso, TX.  For those flying, El Paso International Airport (ELP) is the closest. (85 miles to Alamogordo, and 80 miles to Oliver Lee State Park Campground).   We WILL provide rides from El Paso Airport, and train & bus stations to Camp Justice & Alamogordo motels, AND we WILL provide return trip to El Paso at day of your departure.

For assistance with transportation from El Paso to Alamogordo/Camp Justice and back,
please contact our Transportation Coordinator:

    Eleanor Levine:  eleanorlevinee@gmail.com

Note:  If staying at Camp Justice (see below) we will coordinate rides for you to the vigils and other activities during the week, but we can not facilitate rides for you from hotels in Alamogordo.  You must arrange that on your own.

We cannot guarantee rides from your home community, but will help connect people who are offering rides with those who need rides from the same community/region.
If you are planning to drive to SDDW and can offer rides, OR, if you are hoping to get a ride from your community, please contact us to post on our RIDE SHARES Bulletin Board.

CAMP JUSTICE:
Offers natural beauty, electricity, shade and a wonderful place to build camaradarie

We urge folks to stay at Camp Justice, where some meals and many of our activities during the mid-day and evening will occur.  Camp Justice is our SDDW peace camp set up at the group campsite located at Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, just 15 mi. south of Alamogordo.  It's a lovely campground in an idyllic setting surrounded by the beautiful southern New Mexico desert environment.  Great hiking, shaded picnic tables, and great showers are available. The cost of reserving the group site for the week is paid for by SDDW.

There is an additional per vehicle fee of:
    $15/day - New Mexico Residents

We are asking participants to pay for the per vehicle fees, but please let us know if you need assistance with this expense.  There are funds available.

For those unable to camp:
