Coming to SHUT DOWN DRONE WARFARE (SDDW)
Spring 2026?

REGISTRATION HERE.  Please register asap.
This helps the SDDW Organizing Team better able to plan and serve everyone.  We welcome people to travel to Alamogordo/El Paso via plane, train/bus, or car, and encourage carpooling/ride shares whenever possible. We guarantee assist with transportation from El Paso, Texas terminals to SDDW and return trip to El Paso terminals.  No need to rent a car.

MEALS:
Most meals during the week will be provided by the SDDW Team.  All meals provided will offer only vegetarian and vegan options.  Due to the logistics complexities of coordinating this type of event, breakfasts and lunches will be very simple and nutritious, with heartier evening meals most nights.
A suggested $10 per day donation is requested per person for meals to help defray expenses, but no one turned away for lack of funds. We ask that each person pay for their own meals during the few times SDDW folks eat at local restaurants.  If this is a hardship for anyone, there will be funds available to help pay for meals, as needed.  Participants will also have opportunities to get some of their meals in town on their own, if they choose to.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE:

We are offering limited transportation assistance.

WE ARE GUARANTEEEING rides for everyone flying/busing/training to El Paso, TX.  For those flying, El Paso International Airport (ELP) is the closest. (85 miles to Alamogordo, and 80 miles to Oliver Lee State Park Campground).   We WILL provide rides from El Paso Airport, and train & bus stations to Alamogordo, AND we WILL provide return trip to El Paso on day of your departure.

For assistance with transportation from El Paso to Alamogordo and back,
please contact our Transportation Coordinator:

    Eleanor Levine:  eleanorlevinee@gmail.com

A Transportation Form for those needing or able to provide transportation assist to/from El Paso will be available as the date draws nearer.

Note:  The Group Campsite ("Camp Justice") at Oliver Lee Memorial SP (15 min. from Alamogordo) is not expected to be available this spring due to road reconstruction, so we will not provide rides to/from Oliver Lee this year and there will not be a "Camp Justice." Single site camping reservations can be made by individuals at their own expense. Most SDDW attendees will be staying at either a local Alamogordo motel/hotel or at one of our shared housing rentals, which are more affordable than motels. Information about shared housing rentals

We cannot assist with ride sharing from your home community, but will help connect people who are offering rides with those who need rides from the same community or region.
If you are planning to drive to SDDW and can offer rides, OR, if you are hoping to get a ride from your community, please contact us to post on our RIDE SHARES Bulletin Board.
To post on our Bulletin Board email:  Toby Blomé,  toby4peace@sonic.net

HOUSING/CAMPING ACCOMMODATIONS Options:
For accommodations this year, SDDW 2026 attendees have primarily two choices.  Stay at one of the Alamogordo rental houses arranged by the organizers and contribute to the cost of the rental (which is likely to be much less than a motel room), OR rent a room in a local Alamogordo motel/hotel.  Details about the shared rental houses will be made available by late March, once we can anticipate our needs based on registration numbers. (Other alternatives like individual RV or campground camping are also possible). We will coordinate rides for everyone to the vigils and other activities during the week, as best as we can. We are a cooperative group of folks!
